$30-$40

Tiny Air Force 1s for babies who can't walk yet. Completely unnecessary, impossibly cute, and you'll buy them anyway.

What We Like

  • Impossibly cute miniature version of a classic sneaker
  • Soft flexible sole won't interfere with foot development
  • Great baby shower gift, especially for sneaker-loving parents
  • Legit Nike quality, not a flimsy costume piece
  • Comes in a cute box that's gift-ready

What Could Be Better

  • Your baby absolutely does not need these (but you want them)
  • They'll get kicked off constantly because babies and shoes don't mix
  • Pricey for something your kid will wear for maybe 6 weeks

Safety Notes

Soft sole is appropriate for non-walkers. Remove shoes whenever possible to support natural foot development. Not intended for walking. Check for any loose parts before putting on baby.

Buying Guide Notes

Size down if you're between sizes since they run a touch big. Converse and Adidas both make similarly cute crib shoes if Nike isn't your vibe. For a more practical soft-sole shoe for older babies learning to walk, look at Robeez or Freshly Picked moccasins instead.

Full Review

Let's get this out of the way: your newborn doesn't need shoes. Babies don't walk and pediatricians will tell you barefoot is best for foot development. But these tiny Nike Air Force 1s exist and they're adorable and you're going to buy them for photos and that's fine. We did. Zero regrets. They're surprisingly well-made for something that's essentially a fashion accessory for a 3-month-old. The soft sole is flexible, not rigid, so they won't interfere with foot development during the brief moments they're actually on your baby's feet. The elastic ankle makes them easier to put on than you'd expect, though they'll still get kicked off regularly because babies hate shoes. The quality is legit Nike, not some cheap knockoff feel. They come in a cute little box that makes them an amazing baby shower gift, especially for sneakerhead parents. Are they practical? No. Will they make your Instagram pop? Absolutely. Sometimes that's enough.
