What We Like

  • Dual purpose teether and toothbrush introduces oral hygiene early
  • Banana peel handles prevent baby from pushing it too far back
  • Freezer-safe for extra soothing during teething peaks
  • One piece of silicone with no small parts to worry about
  • Under $8 makes it an easy registry and shower gift addition

What Could Be Better

  • The flexible handle bends and warps with heavy chewing over time
  • It's a teether more than a real toothbrush, you'll still need a proper one later
  • Gets dropped a lot and picks up floor grime fast

Safety Notes

Made from 100% food-grade silicone, BPA-free, latex-free, and phthalate-free. Inspect before each use for tears or bite marks. Replace if the silicone becomes sticky or develops holes. Always supervise use.

Buying Guide Notes

Buy two. One for home, one for the diaper bag. This is a 3-12 month essential. Once actual teeth come in and you need to do real brushing, transition to a finger toothbrush or the Dr. Brown's infant toothbrush. This is more about teething comfort and getting baby used to something in their mouth for future dental hygiene cooperation.

Full Review

This little banana-shaped teether does double duty. When teeth are coming in and your baby wants to chew on everything, it soothes their gums. And because it's shaped like a toothbrush, it gets them used to the idea of having bristles in their mouth before you need to start actual brushing. The soft silicone bristles are gentle enough for sore gums but textured enough to feel good when they're gnawing. The banana peel handles act as a safety shield so baby can't jam it too far back in their mouth. It's one piece of silicone with no small parts, so it's basically indestructible. Our daughter carried hers around for months and it survived being thrown, dropped, stepped on, and left in the carseat for a week. You can freeze it for extra teething relief. It goes in the dishwasher. At under $8, it's one of those things you throw on the registry without thinking twice. Every baby we've gifted one to has loved it. The flexible handle does bend over time with heavy use, but at this price, just buy another one.
