What We Like

  • Six drawers give you plenty of storage for all the baby clothes and supplies
  • Includes anti-tip hardware for toddler safety (install it, seriously)
  • Top surface works as a changing station with a separate pad
  • Metal drawer glides are smooth and more durable than plastic ones
  • Finish wipes clean easily, which you'll appreciate after diaper cream incidents

What Could Be Better

  • Assembly takes about 90 minutes and the instructions could be clearer
  • Engineered wood, not solid wood, so it won't last for generations
  • Heavy once assembled, so plan where you want it before building

Safety Notes

Install the included anti-tip hardware immediately. Furniture tip-over is a leading cause of injury in young children. Anchor to the wall using the included straps. Never let children climb on the dresser. If using as a changing station, never leave a baby unattended on top.

Buying Guide Notes

If you want a matching set, Delta makes the Oxford crib and nightstand in the same finish. The IKEA Hemnes dresser is a popular alternative at a similar price with slightly better build quality. For solid wood, look at the DaVinci Kalani, but expect to pay $100+ more. Whatever you buy, anchor it to the wall. This is non-negotiable with kids in the house.

Full Review

Let's be real about nursery dressers. You need something that holds a ton of tiny clothes, won't tip over on a curious toddler, and ideally doesn't cost as much as your actual bedroom furniture. The Delta Children Oxford checks all those boxes. Six drawers means you have room for onesies, sleep sacks, burp cloths, extra sheets, and the fourteen outfits your mother-in-law bought that you'll never use but can't throw away. The drawers slide smoothly on metal glides, which is more than we can say for some IKEA alternatives. It comes with anti-tip hardware, and you need to actually install it. Furniture tip-overs are a real danger with toddlers who climb, and this is not optional. The top surface is big enough to work as a changing station with a separate changing pad (buy a contoured one with a safety strap). The finish is durable and wipes clean easily, which matters because diaper cream gets on everything. Assembly takes about 90 minutes and is a two-person job. The instructions are mediocre but the pieces fit together well once you figure out the order. It's not solid wood at this price point (it's engineered wood), but it's sturdy and looks fine. For a nursery dresser that does its job and lasts through the toddler years, you really can't beat the value here.
