Most sleep bags come in specific TOG ratings. You buy a thin one for summer and a thick one for winter and swap between them. Woolino's trick is using merino wool, which naturally regulates temperature across a wide range (60-77 degrees). One sleep bag, all year. We were skeptical because that sounds too good to be true, but the science on merino wool and temperature regulation is legit. Our daughter wore hers from 3 months to almost 2 years (it's one-size from 2-24 months), through a Virginia summer and a Virginia winter, and she slept comfortably in both. The merino wool wicks moisture and breathes better than cotton or polyester. It's machine washable, which is critical because it doesn't need to be, like, dry cleaned or anything fancy. Yeah, it's expensive. Really expensive. At $80-100 for one sleep bag, it's 2-3x the price of Kyte Baby or Burt's Bees options. But you only need one or two instead of four different TOG weights, and the one-size feature means you're not rebuying every few months as baby grows. Over time, the math actually works out close to even.

Safety Notes
