Bathing a newborn is one of those parenting tasks that sounds simple until you're actually doing it. You've got a slippery, screaming, tiny human who can't hold their own head up, and you're supposed to wash them while keeping water out of their face. The Skip Hop Moby makes this way less scary. Stage 1 has a mesh sling that cradles your newborn at a comfortable angle so both your hands are free. Stage 2 removes the sling and has a non-slip butt bump for sit-up bathing once baby has core control. Stage 3 removes the support and works as a regular baby tub for older sitters. The drain plug at the bottom means you don't have to flip and dump a heavy tub of water. The swivel hook lets you hang it on a showerhead to dry. We used ours from the first bath at home through about 11 months when our daughter got too big and moved to the regular tub with a mat.

Safety Notes
Never leave baby unattended in any amount of water, even for a second. Always test water temperature with your elbow or a thermometer (aim for 98-100F). Use the mesh sling only for babies who cannot sit up independently. The tub is not a flotation device.
