Our Full Review

Stretchy wraps are lovely against a newborn and miserable to put on in a car park. This is the compromise: wrap-style fabric spreading weight across your back, with buckles so you don't have to remember a tying sequence or trail cloth on wet ground. For a newborn phase where a baby wants to be held constantly and you'd like to eat a meal, a carrier is one of the few genuinely transformative purchases. At $39 it's cheap enough to try without much regret if your back disagrees with it.

What We Like

  • Wrap comfort without the tying, which is the whole problem with wraps
  • Spreads weight better than a narrow-based carrier
  • Cheap enough to risk on a preference you can't predict

What Could Be Better

  • Stretchy fabric loses support as your baby gets heavier
  • Warm to wear in summer
  • Adjusting between two wearers of different sizes is a chore

Safety Notes

Follow the TICKS rules: tight, in view at all times, close enough to kiss, keep chin off the chest, supported back. A newborn's airway closes easily if they slump chin-to-chest, so check position often, especially if they've fallen asleep. Your baby's face must stay uncovered and visible. Check buckles and seams before every use.

Buying Guide Notes

Good for the newborn months. Move to a structured carrier once your baby is heavy enough that stretchy fabric starts sagging.
