A worry stone is the oldest fidget there is, and the reason it survives is that it gives a hand a job without needing anyone's attention. These are soft silicone rather than polished rock, so they're quiet, they don't hurt when thrown, and they survive a washing machine cycle when they inevitably go through one in a pocket. The brand pitches them at anxious children and at kids with ADHD, and specifically as a swap for habits like nail-biting. That's a reasonable claim for a fidget, though a stone on its own doesn't fix a habit. At $15 it's one of the cheaper things here and one of the few you can send to preschool without worrying about it.
