This is the cheapest thing Mindful & Co Kids sell and probably the one we'd suggest first. It's a Hoberman sphere, the expanding plastic ball you've seen in science museums, repurposed as a breathing tool. Telling a furious 4-year-old to take a deep breath rarely lands. Handing them a ball that opens as they inhale and closes as they exhale gives the instruction a shape they can copy, and that difference is the entire point. It's $15, it's nearly indestructible, and it works in a classroom, a car, or a hallway floor mid-meltdown. It is also, plainly, a plastic ball. If your child is not interested in the breathing idea, you own a plastic ball. At this price that's a small bet.
