Yes, you put one end near your baby's nose and suck through the other end. Yes, it sounds gross. No, you won't get snot in your mouth (there's a filter). And yes, it works about 10x better than those blue bulb aspirators the hospital gives you. We were skeptical until our first cold season hit and our 4-month-old couldn't breathe through her nose to eat or sleep. The NoseFrida cleared her out in seconds. The bulb aspirator? We'd squeeze that thing for 5 minutes and get nowhere. Pediatricians recommend this one because you can actually control the suction and it's easy to clean. You can see what you're getting out, which is both gross and satisfying. Buy extra filters because you'll use a lot during cold season.
