If you're formula feeding, this thing is absurd in the best way. You fill the top with water and formula powder, press a button, and a warm, perfectly measured, perfectly mixed bottle comes out in about 10 seconds. At 3am, when you're half asleep and your baby is screaming and you can't remember if you put in two scoops or three, this machine just handles it. No scooping, no shaking, no waiting for water to warm. Just press a button and feed your baby. It works with almost every major formula brand (there's a settings chart to calibrate the powder-to-water ratio). Is it necessary? No. You can absolutely mix formula the old-fashioned way. But is it one of those things that makes the formula-feeding grind dramatically easier? Yes. The downsides are real though. It's expensive, it takes up counter space, and you need to clean it regularly or formula residue builds up. It's also one more thing that can break. But for families doing 8+ bottles a day, the time savings add up fast.
